Features:

Operation:

The unit constantly monitors the current room Temperature. If the current room temperature reaches the desired room temperature, the compressor is stopped after a period of 45 seconds. This is to make sure the compressor is not started or stopped too often.

When the current room temperature changes by at least 1 degree Celsius either higher or lower than desired room temperature, the compressor is started again and the room temperature needs to change by at least 1 degree Celsius, higher or lower and a 45 second waiting period, before the compressor is stopped again.

During normal operation, the current room temperature is displayed. When pressing the two settable buttons together at the same time the desired room temperature is displayed. If a after a period of 10 Seconds no buttons are pressed, the display will return to indicating the current room temperature.

If either the up or down buttons are pressed individually, the desired temperature is either incremented or decremented accordingly, within the 15 º to 35 º Celsius range, by 1 degree Celsius at the time.

When the air conditioner is off the unit is still operating, but it is not having any effect on the compressor.

Operation:

The unit constantly monitors the current temperature of the remote temperature sensor, with an accuracy of 1 º Celsius. If the current sensor temperature is below 55 º Celsius, full load power is delivered to the load, up to 4000W.

When the remote temperature sensor measures a temperature greater than 55 º Celsius, the load power is reduced to 50% of full load power.

When the temperature sensor measures a temperature greater than 65 º Celsius, the load power is reduced to 0% of full load power.

Once the remote temperature has reached its top temperature of 65 º, and the load has been reduced to 0%, the unit waits until the temperature reduces to 63 º Celsius. At this point the unit increases the load power to 50%. This is done continuously, until the temperature has increased to 65 º Celsius again. This is to maintain the water temperature between 63 º C and 65 º C.


Protection:

  • In the event of the water cylinder being empty, the unit will disconnect the load completely. LED indication will indicate the fault condition.
  • In the event of element degradation, (conduction of the element to Earth), the load will be disconnected from the unit. LED indication will indicate the fault condition.
  • In the event of an element failure, (element does not heat the water), the unit will disconnect the load. LED indication will indicate the fault condition.

Setup Operation:

The current time of day is set using the keypad and the Time is displayed on the display. The display is in 24-hour format.

The upper temperature of the geyser is set in degrees Celsius, using the keypad, within the range of 55 º C to75 ºC.

There are four ON/OFF Timer settings. These are the ON and OFF LOAD times of the unit. The ON and OFF times are set in 24 hour format.

For each of the modes in setup, (Time, Temperature, On/Off Timers), LED indication displays the current setup mode. If there has been no activity on the keypad for 20 seconds, the unit will return to normal operation mode automatically.

The current time of day and current remote temperature are alternated on the display in normal operation mode.


Unit Operation:

The unit continuously monitors the current temperature of the remote temperature sensor with an accuracy of 1 º Celsius.
If the current sensor temperature is below 55 º Celsius, 100% load power is delivered to the load, up to 4000W.

When the remote temperature sensor measures a temperature greater than 55 º Celsius and less than the Upper Set temperature, the load power is reduced to 50% of full load power.

When the temperature sensor measures a temperature equal to the upper temperature setting in º Celsius, the load power is reduced to 0% of full load power.

Once the remote temperature has reached its top temperature defined by the upper temperature setting in º Celsius, and the load has been reduced to 0%, the unit waits until the temperature reduces to 3 (three) degrees Celsius below the upper temperature setting. At this point the unit increases the load power to 50%. This is done continuously, until the temperature has increased to the upper temperature setting again. This is to maintain the water temperature between the upper temperature setting and (3) three, degrees below it.

On reaching the Preset ON -Time, the load is connected and when the Preset Off-Time is reached the load is disconnected. If the On/Off times are set to 24:00, the On/Off Load Functions are disabled.
